European crisis: a micropolitical approach

What is at sight in the Southern Europe five years after the uprisings of 2011? How do the problems of Northern Europe look like from that perspective? How about the ones Europe experiences as a whole? What can be learned about what has happened and the mistakes made?

We will discuss these questions from the point of view of micropolitics to consider that there is a level of that “precedes” the representative politics and, oftentimes, defines the limits of a political programme, parliamentarian or not.

LOTTA MERI PIRITA TENHUNEN:
MICROPOLITICS AS THE BASIS OF STRATEGICAL THOUGHT

What does “micropolitics” mean, and what makes it relevant for a group? What does it mean to place micropolitics in the basis of strategical thought?

RAÚL SÁNCHEZ CEDILLO:
EUROPE, CONSTITUENT POWER, STRUGGLES & THE PRODUCTION OF SUBJECTIVITY

The European crisis, fundamentally a systemic crisis and a crisis of social regulation, can also be analysed through the micropolitical flows that traverse the society. What micropolitics are dominant in Europe today? What could it mean to intervene in the European micropolitics?

The discussion starts at 16.00. Afterwards there will be some drinks and snacks. Welcome!
